800 Year Anniversary of Magna Carta

2014 witnessed the 1200th anniversary of the death of Charlemagne and of course the centenary of the start of the Great War. 2015 marks the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.

It hardly seems possible to me that it has been 800 years. I lecture on Norman England every fall semester and it seems to have such immediacy to me. I look forward to the events and the lectures that are sure to be coming. Maybe, I hope, a British university will even host a MOOC.
